ELIGIBILITY

• Who is Eligible to Apply for Registration

1. All practicing artists creating works of art are eligible to apply for Registration.

• size of the artwork to upload online with the Application Form

1. The maximum size of original artwork must be 4X4 feet(with frame).
2. The image must have adequate size for the selection committee to judge the work.
3. The image shall be in 300 dpi with minimum size 2MB and maximum size of 8MB. The image should be in maximum quality jpeg format.
4. Bigger than maximum size or non-jpeg format images may not upload on the site.
5. Please keep the image of your artwork ready for uploading. The image for passport-sized photo of the artist should not exceed 200KB.

JURY

“ KALABDHI…An Indian Contemporary Art Festival ” of WInspire Foundation is organizing an art contest in India covering all the parts of the country. The characteristic of festival is the judging on merit and on merit only. It’s only the art that counts. The Judges appointed are well qualified and professional senior artists with at least 20 years of successful art career.

The artists upload the images of their work on the online Form provided on our website, http://winspireassociation.com. The details of the artists and their entries are composed in an on-line Directory which can be viewed on the website.

The uploaded images of artworks are copied on a pen-drive and given serial numbers, without writing the name of the artist. The Judge is able to view the image of the artwork on his/her computer in the privacy of his/her home. Along with the pendrive containing the images, we send each Judge a separate printed marksheet book. This book has serial numbers in its first column showing the serial numbers of the rows. The Judge enters marks for each artwork in its respective row under the columns provided for marks for technical excellence and for overall impact. The total marks are 100, 50% for technical and 50% overall impact. The Judges do not meet the other Judges and do not know the name or any details of the Artist. The Judges are located in different parts of the country. The Judges do not know who the other Judges are. The Judges complete the marksheet book and return it to “ KALABDHI ” office for processing. The “ KALABDHI ” office enters the marks in an excel sheet and they are totalled. The excel sheet is then sorted on the total marks column in descending order, i.e. highest marks on top and lowest at the bottom. The artists getting the max marks are identifies as winners.

The Results are announced. Thereafter the Yearbook is printed showing each Award winning Artist showing the prize they have won. The email ID of the artist is also disclosed.

THE “KALABDHI” IS FAIR AND TOTALLY TRANSPARENT BECAUSE:

1. The entries received can be seen in the Artists Directory on our website.
2. The Judging is done in a dispassionate manner looking only at the merit of the artwork.
3. The Award winning artworks are published in the Yearbook to show the image of the artwork and who have won the Awards.
4. Award winner Artists are informed by a phone call or email of the result immediately after the results are out, by the “ KALABDHI ” Team member specially assigned for the task.
5. Final results are put up on the website.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU CAN REGISTER FOR MULTIPLE ENTRIES, BUT YOU WILL RECEIVE ONLY ONE AWARD FOR ALL ENTRIES IN ALL CATEGORIES. IF YOU ARE THE WINNER IN MULTIPLE CATEGORIES YOU ARE ENTITLED TO ONLY ONE AWARD CERTIFICATE IN ALL CATEGORY.

1. Open the Application Form for registration on form.winspireassociation.com and national.winspireassociation.com For SPOT COMPETITION and NATIONAL COMPETITION respectively Fill in the details and upload the image.
2. Submit the completed Application Form for Registration by clicking on the SUBMIT button.
3. “ KALABDHI ” has full powers to accept or reject the application at their sole and absolute discretion.
4. On acceptance of the Application, “ KALABDHI ” will register the artist and enter his/her name and image of the artwork into the “ KALABDHII” Directory of Emerging Artists.
5. Last date of submission is 25th Jan 2020. Applicants have to register before 25th Jan 2020.
6. After registration process, all artworks are judged by juries.
7. From all submitted artworks jury will select 50 artworks for national exhibition which is held at Kolhapur.
8. Same process is there for spot competitions. Artists have to register online through “apply for spot competition” link.
9. After registration, judges will select 50 Artists from all registered entries for spot competition .
10. Selected artists have to attend spot competitions as per schedule given on website.

The entry fee of Rs. 200/- should be sent in the form of postal order / bank draft or online transfer.

Kindly note if no entry fee is received,the entry form ticked “For competition through links” will be treated as “not for competition” and exhibits will not be eligible for the award.

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR COMPETITION

1. THE THEME OF THE WINSPIRE ART CONTEST IS “ INDIAN-NESS ”. ANY ARTWORK WHICH IS NOT RELATED TO “ INDIAN-NESS ” WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
   All the terms and conditions mentioned elsewhere on http://winspireassociation.com website including under Register, How to Register, Benefits of Registration will stand accepted by the applicant upon clicking the SUBMIT button on the Application Form.
2. The organization of “ KALABDHI …An Indian Contemporary Art Festival” do reserve and shall have all rights, and full and absolute and sole discretion in matter of accepting or rejecting the Application of Registration submitted by any one or more applicants.
3. The organization of “ KALABDHI…An Indian Contemporary Art Festival ” do reserve and shall have all rights, and full, absolute and sole discretion in the matter of selecting artists for awards and in selecting the publishing images of the artworks in the Yearbook.
4. Any applicant giving false information in the Application Form shall be disqualified and his/her name shall be liable to be struck off from the Register. The decision of the organization of “ KALABDHI …An Indian Contemporary Art Festival” shall be final and decisive.
5. Applicants for registration agree that they shall have no claim or dispute of any nature related to any of the activities of the “ KALABDHI ”
6. The intellectual property rights of the artwork and its image shall remain with the registered artist who has submitted the original artwork during registration. However, the “ KALABDHI ” shall have a free, perpetual and unconditional licence to use and reproduce the image of the artwork submitted by the registered artist, for both non-commercial as well as commercial purposes. The artwork image shall not be used by “ KALABDHI ” for their Art Print shop unless it has been purchased by “ KALABDHI ” from the Artist.
7. “ KALABDHI ” shall have the right to sub-licence the reproduction of the image of the artwork for specific purposes, to third parties that “ KALABDHI ” may decide in its sole discretion. In such reproduction, however, the name of the artist shall be included and due credit given.
8. The Applicant may make multiple entries, but shall be entitled to only one Award in all category.
9. Judges will select 50 entries from submitted entries. (may change the entry digit)
10. Selected entry will be informed to artist by a phone call & email by committee staff.
11. Artists’s own responsibility to send a selected artwork to the festival office between 12th feb 2020 to 18th feb 2020.

13. Late entries will not be entertained.
14. Artists’s own responsibility to collect their artwork after festival from festival office in next three days. after that festival committee will not be responsible for any inconvenience.
15. PLEASE NOTE THAT PRIZES WILL BE GIVEN ONLY TO THE AWARD WINNERS WHO ATTEND THE WINSPIRE ART FUNCTION. It is clarified that the reason for making a grand Award distribution function is to honour the artist and give him/her energy boost for their work. For this objective to be fulfilled, it is a must for the Award winners to attend the function.
16. If any painting sold in exhibition, artist have to donate 15% amount of painting's prize to organization for charity
17. If any legalities evolved, it will solved only Kolhapur Court.
